Jazz fantasy - Wayne Sorter comes to Belgrade

Belgrade, May, 17. 2010 (Serbia Today)  Wayne Sorter, one of the most influential jazz musician of today, will open the 26th Belgrade Jazz Festival  on  October 28 with a  concert at the Sava Center. The famous saxophonist returns to Belgrade  after 30 years. On 1980 in the Serbian capital he performed with his band "Weather Report.”  According to The New York Times, Wayne Sorter is the greatest living jazz composer. Wayne Sorter won the "Grammy’ award nine times. The first time this award was given to him was on 1979 as a member of the group Weather Report. His subsequent eight awards were individual accolades.
