Serbian director awarded on Cannes film festival

Belgrade, May 25. 2010. (Serbia Today) - Project  the "Circles", idea of Serbian director and producer Srdan Golubovic,  received the award for best project on "Atelier" session, the official program of Cannes film  festival  designed  for  movie works in development. "Circle" received the award  among the 15 Selected Films in progress  emerging from around the world, announced the distributor of “Tuck.” Cannes Film Festival has launched the "Atelier" to help funding  directors  so they could  finish their projects. Besides Golubovic  competition involved the authors from Argentina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, France, Hungary, Venezuela, Turkey, Iran, Britain and Japan. Film Centre of Serbia supported the new Golubovic project "Circles" with 300.000 EUR based on the results of the competition for co-financing domestic films in this year.
