The Roads of the Modern Drama in the Region

Belgrade, April 07. 2010 (Serbia Today) —The public readings of the modern drama named “ The Roads of the Modern Drama in the Region will be presented at the National Theater in Belgrade from April 09 to 15. Every day, starting at 5 PM, one drama from different regions of Balkans and the awarded text from Sterija”s Theater Festival will be read.

Besides the Petar Mihajlovic”s “Working Chronicles” awarded text from the Sterija”s Theater Festival, there will be presented to the public Mirjana Drljevic”s (Dream about St.Peter from Cetinje), Almir Imsirevic”s (Mousefuckers), Zanina Micevska (Pharynx), Dora Delbianko” s (Mudslide), Radmila Smiljanic”s (The stone balloon) and Simon Semenic”s (Five boys). The panel about the progress of the national drama text in the countries of our region will be held on April 11th . The purpose of this exchange of experiences and possibilities is to develope common projects and to devise systematic networking of information.

Writers such as Mircevska (Slovenia), Imsirevic (Bosnia and Hercegovina), Delbianco (Croatia), as well as local dramatists/ Miroslav Radonjic (Sterija”s Stage), Aleksandar Milosavljevic (Manager of Serbian National Theatre), Slavko Milanovic (Belgrade National Theater), drama writer Milan Markovic and Maja Pelevic and the director Ana Tomovic. will participate at the conference.
